The election of Obama could be a cleansing experience, or not

 

Hysteria surrounds global economic crises, presidential politics, international tension and speculation about the future.

 

Obama supporters are convinced without their man in the White House, we are headed for hell in a hand basket.

 

McCain supporters are convinced without their man in the White House, we are headed for hell in a hand basket.

 

Hell hath no fury like a Leftist scorned.   Some people predict if Obama loses, we will see race riots.  Certainly people will insist evil Republicans stole the election, despite ACORN’s proven attempts to steal elections for 10 years.   When Rightists lose, they don’t get mad, they modify, paving a road to hell with centrist intentions. 

 

Ultimately, God is in His heaven, and nothing happens beyond His notice, nor will ultimate outcomes escape His will.

 

As a strong McCain supporter, all this got me thinking about what will likely happen if Obama is elected.

 

Let’s look on the bright side.  It could be good.

 

Obama will face the same presidential meat grinder all presidents face.   He will be confronted daily with no-win situations, a series of Catch 22 circumstances, forced to make “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” decisions.  Despite all his good intentions, he will be vilified, first from this sector, then the next.   He will look at the same intelligence Bush reads every day and Obama will soon realize the options are few.   Many days he will ask himself: what was I thinking aspiring to this hellish office?

 

The real problem is Obama has never made an executive decision.   He has no experience to fall back on.   His advisors will simply drive him crazy with hundreds of divergent suggestions.

 

This will force him to rely on his political philosophy and his instincts.  His political philosophy is rooted in expediency, moral relativism and radicalism which is inherently anchorless.  Without a set of core values, a person is made to drift with the winds of political fortune, which invariably translates into chaos, and weakness, and serial crises, devoid of legislative consensus,  ala Jimmy Carter.   Animals run on instinct, and exclusive reliance on instinct always means a focus on survival.

 

At that point the meat grinder will accelerate. 

 

Sure, with Democrat majorities in the House and Senate, in the near term Obama will be able to railroad higher taxes, massive spending on federal entitlements, defense cuts, radical Left judicial appointments, and education “reform” which forces students into indoctrination centers prepping them for enrollment in Public Allies where they will study “Rules for Radicals” and “The Communist Manifesto” 24/7.   The 250 million people in this country who believe in God will be alarmed to learn they have to keep quiet about it.   Gay marriage will flourish.  Pastors will be jailed for hate crimes simply for preaching from the Bible.

 

Moral decline, our worst problem, will hasten the generalized train wreck.

 

Eventually, sooner, not later:

 

The economy will decline even further.

 

Terrorism will increase.

 

Class warfare will escalate.

 

Everyone will be alienated.

 

The misery index will increase.

 

Illegal immigration will skyrocket.

 

American sovereignty will diminish.

 

Multiple enemies abroad will take their shots.

 

We’ll go bankrupt.

 

Uncle Sam’s checks will bounce.

 

Obama will be immobilized.

 

Taking a cue from Thomas Jefferson, the U.S. military will storm the Capitol and take over.

 

Radical Leftist Anti-American Agitators and Community Organizers will be shipped to Cuba to expand Gitmo, making it their own Collective.

 

The rest of us can get back to work expanding the American dream according to the Founders’ vision: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

 

Take heart Americans. 

 

It could be a good thing, kind of like a good, cleansing fast, coupled with a mineral water intestinal flush.

Apart from the Supreme Court, the next president will fill a steady stream of vacancies–and perhaps a batch of newly created seats–on the federal District and Appeals courts. The cumulative impact of those choices may well be more important than any one Supreme Court appointment, although far less visible.

 

The door would be open for Obama, if he were so inclined, to appoint the kind of crusading liberal that the Court has not seen since Justices William Brennan and Thurgood Marshall retired in 1990 and 1991–or, for that matter, to appoint Hillary Rodham Clinton if she wanted the job.

 

Replacing one or more of the current liberals with such a figure would solidify the liberal bloc. And a Scalia or Kennedy retirement would enable Obama to move the Court dramatically to the left, creating a solid liberal majority for the first time since Chief Justice Earl Warren retired in 1969.

 

 

ABORTION

On abortion, Obama assailed the Court’s April 2007 decision upholding the congressional ban on “partial-birth” abortion as a dramatic departure from precedents protecting a woman’s right to choose. He also warned that “conservative Supreme Court justices will look for other opportunities to erode Roe v. Wade.”

 

The anti-abortion McCain said: “I’m very happy about the decision, given my position on abortion. ‘Partial birth’ is one of the most odious aspects of abortion.”

 

 

GUN RIGHTS & DEATH PENALTY

McCain has been consistent in championing broad gun rights and the death penalty; Obama was not until after he had wrapped up the nomination and turned to courting centrist voters. Obama’s general statements on judicial appointments suggest that he would choose new justices and judges who would take the liberal side on such issues.

 

 

SAME SEX MARRIAGE

On court-ordered same-sex marriage, Obama’s campaign said that he “respects” the California Supreme Court’s decision in May requiring the state to recognize gay and lesbian marriages. This contrasted with Obama’s previous position that he opposed gay marriages and supported “civil unions”–the same distinction that the court struck down. Obama later denounced as “divisive and discriminatory” a ballot initiative designed to overturn the gay-marriage decree.

 

McCain’s campaign said that he “doesn’t believe judges should be making these decisions,” and he welcomed the ballot initiative as giving “the people of California … the opportunity to decide … the definition of marriage, rather than having that decision made by judicial fiat.”

 

 

GITMO DETAINEES ACCESS TO CIVILIAN COURTS

The contrast between them was particularly striking when they reacted to the Court’s 5-4 decision on June 12 that Guantanamo detainees have rights to full federal judicial review of their petitions for release–a strong rebuff to Bush. Obama praised the liberal justices (plus Kennedy) for “an important step toward re-establishing our credibility as a nation committed to the rule of law.” McCain condemned them for “one of the worst decisions in the history of this country.”

 

 

The liberal nightmare (and conservative dream) is McCain replacing one or more aging liberals with conservatives who proceed to overrule or hollow out Roe v. Wade and other liberal precedents; throw gay rights into reverse; discard the constitutional right to privacy; outlaw all racial preferences and school integration programs; narrow the reach of civil-rights protections for women, minorities, and disabled people; bless virtually unrestricted government funding of religious schools and sponsorship of crosses and other religious symbols on public property; stop shrinking and start expanding the death penalty; mow down gun control laws; roll back the four decisions since 2004 that have checked Bush administration efforts to expand presidential power in the name of fighting terrorism; and make it ever harder for consumers and workers to sue businesses.

 

 

The conservative nightmare (and liberal dream) is an Obama Court requiring taxpayers to fund essentially unlimited abortion rights throughout pregnancy; ordering all 50 states to bless gay marriage; expanding and perpetuating the use of racial preferences far beyond the 25-year phase out suggested by the justices five years ago; prohibiting tuition vouchers for religious schools; stripping “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance; banning the death penalty; striking down the new federal wiretap law; expanding judicial oversight of military detentions, CIA interrogations, and perhaps other operations worldwide; opening the floodgates to big-dollar lawsuits against business; eroding property rights; and perhaps creating new constitutional rights to physician-assisted suicide, human cloning, and massive government welfare and medical care programs.

Americans in uniform have always served the purposes of goodness, despite what Jeremiah Wright says.  Our men and women in uniform have routinely stood against the thug, the tyrant, the terrorist.  American military personnel have always served to protect us and defend and protect innocent men, women and children.

 

Why then does Sen. Obama stand opposed to our men and women in uniform?  Why does he routinely vote contrary to their ability to successfully carry out the mission they volunteered to perform?

 

In May 2007, Obama voted to cut off funding for our troops in Iraq, four days before all funding was slated to run out.  The vote in the Senate carried the $120B funding package 80-14.  Obama was one of ten Democrats who voted against funding our troops overseas.*

 

Obama’s running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, voted for the military spending bill. 

 

(Troubling how Biden and Obama disagree frequently on matters of national security: Biden was for the invasion of Iraq, but Obama was opposed, Biden was against the Gulf War, but Obama has said we had to invade Kuwait to confront Saddam and George H.W. Bush did an excellent job. Biden says he was against the Surge, but it has worked brilliantly, and Obama is also against the Surge, first saying it would fail, and did fail, then saying the Surge delivered miraculous results.  It would instill a bit more confidence if these two could come up with a mutually agreed upon, consistent policy.)

 

Why did Sen. Obama vote against funding our troops in theatre? 

 

Obama wanted to set dates for U.S. troop pullout from Iraq, a position rejected by Congress, the President, and the Iraqi authorities, rejected because it would signal our enemies they only had to wait us out before mounting new offensives against democracy-loving Iraqis.   

 

Explaining his vote, Obama said: “We must negotiate a better plan that funds our troops, signals to the Iraqis that it is time for them to act and that begins to bring our brave servicemen and women home safely and responsibly.”

 

Flowery words that in fact undercut our volunteer force and contradicted the will of the Iraqis and our own formal foreign policy objectives as supported by 80 Senators voting to support the troops that day. 

 

However, Sen. Obama’s anti-military attitudes run even deeper.   He promises as president to take our nuclear defense system “off hair-trigger alert,” and he promises deep cuts in defense at a time when we are more vulnerable than ever in our history.

 

He says he will cut tens of billions of dollars in defense spending, spending he says is wasteful because he wants to divert that money to government-run healthcare and social programs. 

 

He says he will cut “unproven” missle defense programs, signaling to our enemies they should be encouraged to develop missles capable of hitting us.  “I will not weaponize space.”  (Yet aren’t the Chinese already doing so?) 

 

“I will slow our development of future combat weapons systems.”  (Ah, the old ‘peace through weakness’ approach.) 

 

He proposes a civilian review board to dictate military spending and override military expertise in budgetary considerations.

 

Obama promises: “A world without nuclear weapons.”  (Interesting reasoning, like his gun control policy, if you outlaw nukes, only outlaws will have nukes.)  “I will not develop new nuclear weapons.”  (Or power plants either so we continue to be at the mercy of Arab adversaries who will develop new nuclear weapons, again the old peace through weakness Jimmy Carter approach to total defeat and humiliation.)

Finally, Barack and Michelle Obama created Public Allies in 1992, and she became executive director the next year.  Half the funding of Public Allies comes from tax payers.  Even Fannie Mae has contributed! (see below)

 

Public Allies pays young people $1,800 a month, plus benefits, to become activists to change society because America is racist, homophobic, paternalistic, sexist, white supremacist and overtly militaristic.

 

Oh, and capitalism, “the money culture,” is bad, so youth are encouraged to embrace non-profit groups, activism and community organizing, working toward the goal of world peace and a socialist utopia.

 

Yup.  Your tax dollars used to turn American youth against America, akin to the tax dollars used by the ACLU to destroy the Boy Scouts simply because the Boy Scouts don’t allow gays in leadership roles.

 

Concerning Public Allies, Obama says, “We have got to have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded as the military.”

 

This is the new America the Democrats and Obama will create: an America where all things traditional and morally sound are denigrated, attacked and destroyed. Freedom itself is in peril.

“Barack Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA, wrote a poem dedicated to the Soviet Red Army.

 

“Smash on, victory-eating Red Army,” he declared.

 

He also wrote poems attacking traditional Christianity and the work of Christian missionaries.

 

The “Red Army” poem goes beyond hoping for the communists to beat the Nazis in World War II and hails the Soviet revolution. It says:

Planted twenty-five years ago

One Davis poem, “Christ is a Dixie Nigger,” dismisses Christ as “another New White Hope” and declares:

Your tales about Jesus of Nazareth are no-go with me

I’ve got a dozen Christs in Dixie all bloody and black…”

 

The revelations about Davis’ poetry will add to the controversy over what kind of role Davis played in shaping Obama’s political views. Davis (1905-1987) seems to have had the same kind of anti-American outlook that animated Obama’s longtime pastor, Jeremiah Wright. In fact, Davis was pro-Soviet, not just anti-American.”

“As Obama was preparing to head off to college, he sat at Davis’ feet in his Waikiki bungalow for bitter nightly bull sessions. Davis plied his impressionable guest with liberal shots of whiskey and advice, including: Never trust the white establishment.

 

“They’ll train you so good,” he said, “you’ll start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that sh**.”

 

In the eyes of white America, Davis warned Obama: “You may be a well-trained, well-paid n*****, but you’re a n***** just the same.” He also nurtured anti-white hatred in his young mulatto subject, telling him, “Black people have a reason to hate.”

 

How much influence did Comrade Davis have on Obama? The Democrat White House hopeful refuses to talk about the relationship now. In the book, he only shares that he was “intrigued by old Frank, with his books and whiskey breath and the hint of hard-earned knowledge.”

 

However, Obama followed in Davis’ footsteps after college, working as a “community organizer” for the same socialist network in Chicago. He even considered a career in journalism like Davis.

 

Obama attended socialist conferences, and took a shine to other black Marxist revolutionists. Not long after Davis died in 1987, Obama came under the spell of another black nationalist-socialist, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who, like Davis, wore a dashiki and became a father figure.

 

If the relationship with Davis was as blase as the Associated Press makes it sound, why is Obama mum about it? And why did he try to hide Davis’ identity in his first memoir, published in 1995?

 

“With the exception of my family and a handful of public figures,” he wrote in the preface, “the names of most characters have been changed for the sake of privacy.” But there was no need to protect Davis’ privacy. He had long been dead.

 

More likely, the cryptic references to his communist mentor were — and still are — designed to protect Obama’s background from the scrutiny it deserves.”

THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WE ARE CONSIDERING FOR THE WHITE HOUSE?

 

HOW DID A MAN WITH NO REAL EXPERIENCE AND NO PERCEIVABLE QUALIFICATION TO BE PRESIDENT CAPTURE THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION AND AMASS A $340M WAR CHEST TO CAMPAIGN, THE LARGEST IN HISTORY?

 

WHY IS THE MEDIA SO ENAMOURED WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL?  WHY DO REPORTERS REFUSE TO ASK OBAMA THE HARD QUESTIONS ABOUT HIS LACK OF EXPERIENCE, HIS BACKGROUND AND ASSOCIATIONS AND HIS POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY?

 

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SELECTED A PRESIDENT BASED ONLY ON THE MAN’S ABILITY TO DELIVER A SPEECH, KNOWING ALMOST NOTHING ABOUT WHAT HE REALLY BELIEVES?

 

Relationship between Davis and Barack Obama

In his autobiographical Dreams from My Father, U.S. Senator and Democratic Party presidential candidate Barack Obama wrote about “Frank”, a friend of his grandfather’s. “Frank” told Obama that he and Stanley (Obama’s maternal grandfather) both had grown up only 50 miles apart, near Wichita, although they did not meet until Hawaii. He described the way race relations were back then, including Jim Crow, and his view that there had been little progress since then.

As Obama remembered, “It made me smile, thinking back on Frank and his old Black Power, dashiki self. In some ways he was as incurable as my mother, as certain in his faith, living in the same sixties time warp that Hawaii had created.” Obama also remembered Frank later in life when he took a job in South Chicago as a community organizer when he took some time one day and visited the areas where Frank had lived and wrote in his book, “I imagined Frank in a baggy suit and wide lapels, standing in front of the old Regal Theatre, waiting to see Duke or Ella emerge from a gig.”

Gerald Horne, a Communist Party historian and contributing editor of Political Affairs, claims that “Frank” was Davis, and further claimed he was a “decisive influence” on Obama. Similar claims were made about Davis in the anti-Obama book The Obama Nation.^[17]

A rebuttal to The Obama Nation released by Obama’s presidential campaign, titled Unfit for Publication, confirms that “Frank” was, in fact, Frank Marshall Davis, but disputes claims made about the nature of their relationship.
