 Which vision will prevail?

Very soon the survival of American freedom will depend on young Americans.  Events are unfolding rapidly.  Battle lines are being clearly defined.  Momentous history is in the making.  Older and middle-aged Americans form the ranks of resistance presently, joined by growing numbers of young people, but those of us getting on in years are fading, and unless the young step up to save her, America may be lost forever.

What we are witnessing in Washington by the hand of this President is nothing less than a complete transformation from government by the People, to government by the powerful few.

Castro applauds ObamaCare

Ted Nugent looks forward to November: “Kill the Pig: phenomenal abuse of power.”

Well, it sure didn’t take long for the proverbial stuff to hit the fan in the wake of the passage of ObamaCare.  The ink is hardly dry on the huge new entitlement and companies are already singing the blues while activists wage war to overturn it.

Al Sharpton & Barack Obama: the joke’s on us folks. Is it all about payback?

Asked to comment on ObamaCare becoming law, Al Sharpton said Monday,  ” . . . the American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected President Obama.”

Tea Party people aren’t such idiots after all.

Sharpton is right.  Mr. Obama told us over and over he favored universal healthcare, socialized medicine.  He said it for years all the while promoting the public option as a way to achieve the goal.  Once elected however he denied it, claiming ‘reform’ had nothing to do with universal, socialized care.

Rather, ‘reform’ was only to help the uninsured, those with pre-existing conditions, and the poor.  He insisted his efforts were only designed to help the economy, attack the deficit, confront corporate raiders, corrupt doctors, evil drug companies, even as he made backroom deals with all of them.

In truth, Mr. Obama will say anything and do anything to get his way.  For him, the end is so sacred, all means are justified.

For a year we have heard multiple voices claim repeatedly: anyone critical of Mr. Obama is a dolt or a racist or rightwing headhunter.

Mr. Hogberg is certainly no dolt, and there is no evidence he is a racist or a headhunter. This carefully researched article tells you what you need to know about ObamaCare, in detail:

20 ways ObamaCare will take away our freedoms

Alan Dershowitz is no racist so far as we know.  Neither is he a dolt, or someone with a conservative axe to grind.   In fact, he is left of center. In this compelling piece he warns this administration appears asleep at the wheel, distracted by domestic policy concerns while disasterous developments proceed unhindered overseas.

Universal healthcare for all Americans his stated goal

“My commitment is to make sure that we’ve got universal healthcare for all Americans by the end of my first term as President.”

Candidate Obama, SEIU health forum 2007

If the House passes the Senate healthcare bill tomorrow, it will be seen merely as a stepping stone to further reforms, including the public option, which has always been and always will be part of achieving universal healthcare, i.e., total federal takeover of the American healthcare system, fully 1/6th of the the U.S. economy.

“The only way we can get single-payer (universal care) is to have a public option,”  Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass.  “I’m a co-sponsor of it.”

Mitt Romney said Thursday Democrats will  pass the Senate version in the House and repeal efforts are already underway, even as 38 govenors prepare to sue to stop healthcare reform from being implemented.

If the federal government eventually achieves single-payer, universal care, complete government control of a socialized system, with that kind of power over people’s lives, government can do almost anything.

Here, Ronald Reagan, private citizen in 1961, explains the dangers of socialized medicine.

        Self-immolation over  healthcare reform

If healthcare reform passes: At least 40 lawsuits contemplated, many predict constitutional crisis.

It is beyond bizarre the way liberals are eating their bleeding hearts out over so-called heathcare reform, as if they’ve decided to self-immolate to prove some yet-to-be articulated point.

Must the Democrat Party commit suicide to deliver the President one victory, a self-defeating one at that?

Just look at what they are willing to do to themselves in what has become a vicious, ugly and bloody battle over reconciliation of the Senate and House versions of reform.

Admiral James Richardson warned President Roosevelt that concentrating naval forces at Pearl Harbor so far from the mainland rendered them vulnerable to Japanese attack.

Richardson was ignored and relieved of duty as Pacific fleet commander.

MIT graduate Roger Babson predicted the crash of 1929, wisely advising “keep out of debt.”  He was ignored.  He ran for President in 1940.  Roosevelt was re-elected and continued with the New Deal.

Many people predicted the housing bubble and the current recession.  They were ignored.

David Walker is predicting America will go belly up unless we find a way to cut entitlement spending, increase revenue, stimulate the economy and radically reduce the national debt.

He is being ignored by the White House and Congress, both pushing another $2.5 Trillion in healthcare entitlement spending.

House Rules Committee Chair Rep. Slaughter (D-N.Y.)

How does the old saying go?  If you can’t win the game, change the rules?

Well, folks, this is apparently the way the Democrats have decided to play the healthcare game.  Since they can’t win even with almost complete control of the government, they’ll just change the rules.

Have you heard of the “Slaughter Rule?”  It is the brainchild of Rep. Louise Slaughter, Democrat from New York, big ACORN fan.

This video called “The Slaugher Solution” does a nice job of explaining it in about three minutes.

Essentially, the Slaugher Rule allows the House to pass the Senate version without a vote.  That’s right, regardless of what the Constitutions says, Pelosi’s House of Representatives proposes to pass a bill simply by waving a magic wand and pronouncing it “passed.”

One plan provides for the President to then sign it into law with the general agreement that a companion bill will be passed to change the Senate version to make it more acceptable to the House, all after the fact.

Some are calling these shenanigans unlawful, unconstitutional, despotic and even treasonous.
