THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY
Gore, Obama, Biden, Clinton, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Durban, Frank, Kerry, Dodd: all place our country in second position behind junk science and the collective impulse to force world government, which translates into world despotism, and world economic collapse.
“Just two weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate bill,” Gore said, noting it was “very much a step in the right direction.”
“But it is the awareness itself that will drive the change and one of the ways it will drive the change is through global governance and global agreements.”
DON’T BELIEVE POWERFUL FORCES ARE ENGINEERING ONE-WORLD GOVERNMENT?
Man-made global warming is junk science, and efforts to address it legislatively, a prescription for economic disaster.
MAN-MADE GLOBAL WARMING NOT SETTLED SCIENCE
Candidate and President Obama declared many times cap and trade will make utility costs skyrocket. The Heritage Foundation studies indicate that means the average household will see annual cost increases amounting to $3,000.
The European cap and trade program has seen an increase in carbon emissions with destructive economic results, the opposite of what Obama and Gore and Pelosi and Markey and Waxman assert. Australia’s cap and trade/carbon credits program has been a complete failure.
The scientific community is not entirely settled on either the issue of global warming or the human contribution. Some say satellite studies indicate the earth has actually cooled for the last ten years.
Even if we assume global warming is “fact,” there are many who say the human contribution is minimal.
Even if we assume the human contribution is substantial, many say there is nothing humans can do to significantly reduce emissions because 1) substantial impacts can only come through international cooperation involving the radical removal of most petroleum based contributions, and 2) naturally occurring sources causing global warming (the lion’s share) cannot be influenced, i.e., solar activity, evaporation, cloud cover, volcanic activity and so on.
Leaders in China, India and Russia recently stated a complete unwillingness to reduce their emissions. Without their cooperation there is no solution. Destroying our own economy will simply amount to suicide.
Therefore it is unreasonable to push a cap and trade initiative based on unproven science, flimsy assumptions and known economic impacts which will be devastating, especially when alternative energy sources are as yet unproven and incapable of carrying the load, and, especially in a recession when people are having trouble paying their bills, even holding on to their houses.
Many also believe global warming is a convenient leverage issue to give the government more power over people’s lives and more power to control the economy, that it is being used for political advantage and has nothing to do with either saving the planet or concern for the welfare of citizens.
And now Gore flatly admits it’s a leverage issue to usher global governance, which necessarily means destruction of American sovereignty.
[Remember when Gore accused Bush of ‘betraying our country, playing on our fears?’ Seems Mr. Gore is the real fear monger.]
And if Cap ‘n Trade becomes American federal law, Gore will reap millions of dollars, perhaps billions.
