2010 will be a lousy year for the Democrats

December 30, 2009

It was not a good year for Democrats.

In only a few months they managed to squander enormous poltical capital, spark a massive backlash, bankrupt the country, foment division in their own ranks, weaken national security, and strengthen our enemies.

Quite a record for the smartest, most compassionate and morally superior people on earth.

Just goes to show how much you can accomplish when you really put your mind to it with the help of a messiah who still has not performed one single miracle.

Conservatives psycho: Berkeley profs prove it

Note one of the conclusions of the researchers, as reported by U.C. Berkeley News:

Disparate conservatives share a resistance to change and acceptance of inequality, the authors said. Hitler, Mussolini, and former President Ronald Reagan were individuals, but all were right-wing conservatives because they preached a return to an idealized past and condoned inequality in some form. Talk host Rush Limbaugh can be described the same way, the authors commented in a published reply to the article.

WSJ: ” So what, we ask, is this all about? Why try one group in civilian court and another group in military tribunals?”

Salon:  “A system of justice which accords you varying levels of due process based on the certainty that you’ll get just enough to be convicted isn’t a justice system at all. It’s a rigged game of show trials.”

Why make Interpol immune from American law?

December 26, 2009

Move puts soldiers, citizens and sovereignty at risk, experts say

Andy McCarthy at NRO reports the President quietly signed an  executive order  last week that makes Interpol “immune from the restraints of American law.”

McCarthy asks important questions:

Why would we immunize an international police force from the limitations that constrain the FBI and other American law-enforcement agencies?

Why is it suddenly necessary to have, within the Justice Department, a repository for stashing government files which, therefore, will be beyond the ability of Congress, American law-enforcement, the media, and the American people to scrutinize?  (Such as birth certificates, education records and so on?) *
