Yielding to pressure from New York officials and fellow Democrats, the President has ordered the Justice Department to find a new location to prosecute the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, or, as the embroidered monogram appears on his Egyptian cotton bath towels, KSM.

It has only been six days since Democrats where thrust into full cognitive dissonance by the election of Republican Scott Brown to fill the seat vacated by Ted Kennedy, and yet, Plouffe already has a published manifesto detailing the road to recovery for Obama’s radicalism, denying that Obama’s radicalism is the problem (or refusing to see the obvious, which is what happens eventually to people sequestered in the ivory tower.)

It almost seems like piling on anymore to point out the President’s fumbles and bumbles.   After a week like this, Mr. Obama’s numbers are worse than ever.  Has there ever been greater distance between the American people and a President?

The disciples of Barack Obama can’t get their story straight in the wake of the election in Massachusetts that sent a conservative to succeed Ted Kennedy in the Senate.

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told the corps yesterday the President was surprised and frustrated over Scott Brown’s victory.  Later in the press conference Gibbs said it was no surprise voter anger stretching back eight years ushered Brown forward, as if anger directed at Republicans generally and Bush specifically explains the election of the first Republican from The Bay State in decades.  Right.

The Gibbs Spinalysis was repeated by Senior Advisor David Axelrod yesterday.   Axelrod claimed the message from Massachusetts is multi-dimensional and certainly not a repudiation of the President’s policies on healthcare, the economy, jobs, taxes, spending and terrorism.

A year ago conservatives were hoping Mr. Obama would disregard some of his campaign rhetoric and govern from the center.  Like many Americans conservatives wanted our first Black President to be successful.  Historically, leaders understand America is a center/right country and voters do not like radical change one direction or the other.  Extremism has always been viewed suspiciously, and rightfully so.
