Obama campaign vows counter offensive

Tonight, American voters will learn more truth about Sen. Barack Obama.

 

Sean Hannity, probably the only commentator to root out details of Obama’s past and political philosophy, presents a TV special tonight about the Illinois senator on Fox, 9:00 Eastern.

One of Hannity’s interviewees will be Andy Martin, author of “Obama: The Man Behind the Mask.”  Martin is from Chicago.  He is a lawyer, an investigative journalist, author, columnist, radio talk show host, and media critic. Martin is also publisher of www.ContrarianCommentary.com.

 

In a press release, Martin states: “Obama has masked his scary links to Bill Ayers and other anti-American revolutionaries who want to destroy the United States. When will they ever learn? Will they ever learn.”

 

As he has done consistently for months, Hannity will delve into Obama’s connections to associates of Saul Alinsky of “Rules for Radicals” fame, associates who taught Obama the art of community organizing and agitation to achieve social engineering goals and forward political change, all of it Leftist, socialist, pro-abortion, pro-gay rights.

 

The program will present information about Obama friend and political ally Bill Ayers, founder of the “Weather Underground,” a 60s radical Leftist movement responsible for various acts of violence and domestic terrorism perpetrated after Ayers and his wife declared war on the U.S., vowing to overthrow the government by force.  Ayers and his wife hid from the FBI during the 1970s.  They are now professors in Chicago.

In this report we learn Ayers donated to the Obama state senate campaign, Obama held a campaign event at Ayers’ home in 1995 at the beginning of his political career, and Ayers and Obama worked together on the board of an educational foundation in Chicago, a foundation which promoted radicalism in public schools:

Perhaps more disturbing is the connection between Obama and Frank Marshall Davis, a writer and communist who influenced Obama when he was a teenager, giving the young man whiskey and cigarettes and spending many hours teaching Obama about the evils of America, something akin to the influence Jeremiah Wright would reinforce later.

Davis reportedly taught Obama: “Never trust the white establishment. They’ll train you so good, you’ll start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that sh**.  You may be a well-trained, well-paid n*****, but you’re a n***** just the same. Black people have a reason to hate.”

 

It is not known if Hannity will examine Obama’s connections to ACORN (activist non-profit routinely accused of voter fraud), PUBLIC ALLIES (a non-profit youth training organization founded by the Obamas which teaches youth that America is racist, homophobic, paternalistic and sexist), and George Soros, Obama supporter/contributor, and billionaire supporter of MoveOn.org which, among other radical activities, once called General Petraeus a traitor in a full page ad in the N.Y. Times.

 

Martin predicts the Obama counterattack machine will launch soon after Fox airs Hannity’s special tonight, executing efforts to stifle debate using law enforcement, even the Justice Department, such as this recent development reported in Missouri, and other Obama anti-free speech moves in Chicago and elsewhere:

Indeed, Obama has already launched an extensive counter attack appealing to the Justice Department to punish media outlets that run Republican-sponsored ads drawing attention to Obama’s connections to domestic and foreign terrorist organizations.

For all the entirely false rumors about Mayor Palin banning books from the Wasilla library, the only candidate using agencies of the state to suppress views with which he disagrees remains Barack Obama. In Missouri, the Senator has managed to enlist various county officials to threaten TV stations running “untrue” anti-Obama ads.

 

The Governor, Matt Blunt, responds: St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

 

What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment… Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts – not a free society.

 

As Stanley Kurtz, Milt Rosenberg and David Freddoso can tell you, this pattern is well established: The Obama campaign’s response to uncongenial allegations is not to rebut them but to use its muscle to squash the authors. This is especially true when it comes to attempts to lift the curtain however briefly on the Senator’s mysterious past. The New York Times’ general line on the Obama candidacy may approximate that of Bagehot on the British monarchy (“we must not let daylight in upon magic”), but the last time I checked that was not yet constitutionally enshrined.

 

Throughout my travails this last year with Canada’s capricious, totalitarian “human rights” commissions, I have expressed my appreciation for America’s First Amendment. Free societies do not criminalize opinion. What Obama is doing via pliable Missouri public officials is disgusting – and a revealng portent of what his Administration would do to its enemies*.

 

(*By “enemies”, I mean Stan and David, of course. Ahmadinejad & Co. will be sleeping soundly in their beds.)
