It is truly astonishing to watch the cataclysmic implosion of the Obama administration.

No one had ever been ushered into the White House with such pomp and enthusiasm.  No one had spent so many hundreds of millions of dollars to convince people to vote.  No one had garnered such global adoration.  And no one had assumed the office with less experience.

Yet here we are, only 10 months into the odyssey, and Obama’s presidency is viewed a failure.  Approval ratings have fallen dramatically.  Disapproval ratings increase.  Youth are alienated.  Unemployment ranks swell.  Military morale plummets.  Racial strife is heightened. The recession deepens.  For all the talk of change, hope is gone.

In eight years the Bush administration, with the enthusiastic cooperation of Democrats and Republicans in Congress, grew the size of the federal government about 60%.

In eight months Obama and the Democrats have tripled the size of the federal government, creating unprecedented deficits behind massive government spending.

BEIJING, Nov 18 (Reuters) – President Barack Obama gave his sternest warning yet about the need to contain rising U.S. deficits, saying on Wednesday that if government debt were to pile up too much, it could lead to a double-dip recession.

Via Tea Parties and Town Hall meetings, millions of Americans have been protesting Obama’s spending orgy for many months.

President Obama epitomizes ‘say one thing, do another.’  Translation: zero integrity.

Economists from across the spectrum have warned of the dangers of his out of control spending, warning about the devaluation of the dollar, the risk of hyper inflation, a deepening recession, tightening credit and the harm done small business, the backbone of the economy.

Now we face deepening recession, even depression.  Unemployment is breaking records.  The mortgage and housing industries continue to fall.

Still, the President and his lapdog Congress spend and spend and spend and propose more spending on healthcare and global warming  and you name it.

Now, all of a sudden, he is alive to the threat of his own spending policies just days after denigrating Tea Party people as “extremists” and “anti-government”?!

Americans!  Your President thinks you are so stupid, he can manipulate you into believing he really cares about the financial health of the country, just as he cares about prosecuting the war on terror, securing the border, or helping us achieve energy independence.

One supposes Obama made this statement to reassure the Chinese.  They are most likely laughing, just as when our esteemed Treasury Secretary told them their investments were safe in our hands.

What a bloody disgrace.

The leadership vacuum: adapt, migrate, or become extinct

Good leadership is the persuasive talent to inspire people to cooperate for the greater good. 

The ability to adapt is the mark of intelligence.

Intelligent leadership combines these elements.

For all the hoopla these past three years characterizing Mr. Obama as the most brilliant political leader yet seen, little in the way of intelligent leadership has been demonstrated since January.

During the campaign he presented himself the slightly center left patriot capable of hobnobbing with radicals without contracting the disease.  Yet the moment he swore the oath, he started breaking it, along with his promise to govern from the center.

Now, only 10 months into his term, his approval rating has fallen through the floor, his disapproval rating soars, more than half the country stands opposed, while 38% according to Rasmussen strongly disapprove, translation: mad as hell.   Thirty-eight percent of 108 million voters is 41 million.  Add another 20 million who are seriously alienated and the future for Democrats looks mighty dim.

FOR HOURS.

The Bushes went and met privately with these families for HOURS, hugging them, holding them, comforting them.

If there are any of you out there with any connection at all to the Bushes, we implore you to give them our thanks…you tell them that a bunch of gay Hillary guys in Boystown, Chicago were wrong about the Bushes…and are deeply, deeply sorry for any jokes we told about them in the past, any bad thoughts we had about these good, good people.

Tea Party People, Paranoid Politicians, Putrid Pundits

It does not take a genius to figure out that ‘progressives’ are paranoid about Tea Party people and Town Hall conservatives.  Paranoids cannot stop talking about the object of their paranoia.

One case in point: Rachel “Mad Cow” Maddow of MSNBC.   Rachel, who believes all evil can be traced to Christians and Republicans, cannot stomach mainstream Americans exercising their constitutional rights.  In fact all four stomachs appear upset.  She ruminates about ‘insane’ tea party folks quite often. The ever-snide and hysterical Maddow will have you know the Tea Party movement is obviously astroturf because, well, that’s the way she wants it to be, so, ‘Poof!’, it simply is as she says.  Like her steamed colleague Keith ‘The Visigoth” Olbermann, she wastes little time gathering facts, or subjecting them to thoughtful analysis.  Chewing cud and jumping to comfortable conclusions is more efficient in the quest to brain damage your viewers.
